Reports to Credit Bureau

The Effingham Magistrate Court now reports all judgments to the Credit Bureau.  All creditors who receive a judgment must notify this court upon payment of the entire debt (within 60 days), per O.C.G.A. 9-13-80.

Must submit in writing:
  • Mark the judgment satisfied
  • Cancel the writ of FiFa
Failure to comply may subject the judgment creditor to monetary damages.

Dismiss/Satisfy Judgements

You may use the Affidavit Form (PDF) provided by our office to dismiss or satisfy said judgment. If you have a judgment to dispute, currently on your credit report, you must dispute it with the Credit Bureau.
