The Office of the Sheriff continues to investigate two missing persons cases and

need the help of the community of Effingham County. We strongly feel someone

has information that could be crucial to solving these cases.

The case is as follows:

Allyson Romedy

Ms. Romedy was reported missing the morning of March 1, 2002. She was last seen at her residence at 430 Weisenbaker Road, Apt. 1, Rincon, Georgia. Her 1997 four-door Plymouth Breeze, was found two days later at the Fair Oaks Apartments off of Weisenbaker Road, approximately a mile from her home. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) is currently heading up the investigation.  Ms. Romedy is described as 5'2/120 pounds, blue eyes, brown hair and born 1958.
